Queen Victoria Sociosanitary Centre

The Queen Victoria Sociosanitary Centre serves the needs of elderly dependents, either permanently or temporarily, offering either a comprehensive service or a day care service. It is located in one of the main areas of the capital, in the upper part of the city of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, and it offers spectacular views.

It follows a person-focused comprehensive care approach designed with the collaboration of many professionals with vast experience in the area of geriatrics and gerontology, focusing on the improvement of the quality of life of the elderly. This is, without a doubt, our greatest competitive advantage, and it has contributed to the recognition of Queen Victoria as a provider of quality healthcare services and maximum satisfaction for patients and their families.

This sociosanitary centre has a capacity for 99 residential and 30 day-care users, maintaining an occupancy rate of about 100%.

It has been accredited by the Government of the Canary Islands to provide care for dependent people; and the Institute for Social and Sociosanitary Care (Inter-Island Council of Gran Canaria) offers financial support for 13 users.

It offers health-related services (continuous medical care, 24-hour infirmary care, psychology, physiotherapy, and occupational therapy) and social care services (social work and socio-cultural activities).
